Mother of 3 Make-up Concept

Hey Guys and Gals!

I've been having serious writers block and I've fallen behind on many things! But, I'm back, and no need to fear, I'm here and ready to write. I'm feeling a little inspired by someone in my own life. She's a woman in her mid-thirtys who needs a major make-over! Her clothing style is amazing, but the make-up needs a little work. She has very different shaped face, it's like a heart and squared shaped face. Since she is a mother of 3, I'm not going to go insane on the make-up. I want it to look natural, but I also want to highlight her features.

Moisturizer/Etc:

Since the models pores are rather large, I'm going to use Maybelline's Pore Eraser, let that sit for a few minutes, and than I'll follow up with a bit of moisturizer mixed with my YBF face primer.

Contouring:
The tip of her nose is rather large, so what I'm going to do is contour the sides of her nose to make it appear smaller. I'm also going to contour her jaw to define it a little more. Than, I'm going to do a small contour under her cheek bones. Than, finally, I'm going to contour the temples.

Highlighting:

I'm going to do what I like to call the "Kardashian Glow". This technique highlights the T-zone, nose, chin, cupids bow, and a large triangle below the eye extending out toward the end of the face.

Eyebrows:

I'm going to fill in her eyebrows with a brown color and than highlight the brow.

Eye:

Since I don't want to do anything dramatic, I'm going to do a neutral color on her lid, and than in the crease I'll do a dark brown and extend it out so that it looks like a smoky eye, but a little less dramatic. Than, I'll follow up with a winged eyeliner. I'm not going to use mascara, but I am going to use water and dip my Mascara Brush in the water to create the fullness of real lashes.

Lips: I'm going to do a warm lip, so, I'll line the lip and color inward, than I'm going to go over the color with a similar colored lipstick or gloss.

Cookie Yum-Yum Face Mask

Special Thank you to PoppySoap.com for the amazing article and introducing me to this Oatmeal Cookie Face Mask. The link to the article is here

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup of rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg or cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or vanilla essential oil
  • 2 teaspoons of raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt

This  is soothing for dry, irritated, or itchy skin. It is also great for oily skin as the ingredients in the oats soak up all the nasty debris on your skin. I suggest that you immediately give this mask a try!

1. Add all of the ingredients into a glass bowl.

2.Mix well, being mindful of the moisture level. It gets a tad dry (which can happen depending on the brand of oats you use), just add more honey and/or yogurt until it gets to a nice spreadable consistency. You want it thick but not clumpy and dry.

3. Massage the mask onto your face and just avoid getting inside your eyes.
Leave it on for 10-15 minutes then rinse with warm water followed by a cool water splash!

If your skin is dry, use some moisturizer.
